We hope to cover all questions you may have, however please contact us directly if you have any further queries
Do you have an offline sponsorship form?
Yes, we do. If you do not want to raise funds online then please contact us and we will send you a Muscular Dystrophy UK sponsorship form.
Please remember to get all of your sponsors to complete the form in full and return the form along with all the money you raise, so we can claim Gift Aid on your fundraising.
How does the money from Virgin Money Giving and Just Giving reach Muscular Dystrophy UK?
Muscular Dystrophy UK is registered with both Virgin Money Giving and Just Giving, so they will automatically notify us when a fundraising page is set up in aid of our charity. All donations made via online fundraising pages will be automatically transferred to us, which makes raising money hassle-free for you.
Why is there a fundraising target?
Your registration fee goes towards covering the costs of putting on Muscular Dystrophy UK Town and Gown 10k events. The sponsorship money you raise goes directly towards helping those who are affected by muscle-wasting conditions. Therefore we have a fundraising target of £50 per person and encourage you to set up an online fundraising page when registering to the event.
When does my sponsorship money need to be sent in to Muscular Dystrophy UK?
Because of the administration involved, we ask that all sponsorship money be sent in to Muscular Dystrophy UK within a month of the event. This way we can collect and calculate sponsorship money and let all participants know the total amount raised from the event, and to thank you all for your valued contributions.
Where do I send my sponsorship money?
There are a couple of ways to return your sponsorship money to Muscular Dystrophy UK:
- by phone - call 0207 803 2884 and we can take payment over the phone, however be sure to send in your sponsorship forms too
- send a cheque made payable to ‘Muscular Dystrophy UK’ to:
Town and Gown 10k
Muscular Dystrophy UK
61a Great Suffolk Street
We will record your income and let you know how your funds are accumulating. Please note that unfortunately due to security reasons we cannot accept your sponsorship money on the actual day of the Town and Gown 10k event.
