We are delighted to announce leading Leicestershire news publisher Leicester Mercury are supporting our new Leicester Town and Gown 10k as a media partner. The partnership will see articles about our new event being published online and on their social media platforms in the lead up, during and after the event.
Daniel Bird, Leicester Mercury’s Digital Editor, said: “We’re really excited about working with Muscular Dystrophy UK to raise awareness of muscle-wasting conditions. We implore the people of Leicestershire – and further afield – to get their running shoes on for the Leicester Town and Gown 10k this March.”
Emma Jones-Parry, Head of Events and Donor Relations at Muscular Dystrophy UK, said: “We are thrilled to have Leicester Mercury supporting our inaugural Leicester Town and Gown 10k. Just like our Oxford and Cambridge Town and Gown 10ks, the local media support is brilliant in helping us raise awareness of the event but more importantly muscular dystrophy, which affects over 70,000 people in the UK.”
If you have a story to share contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and we may be able to feature you in one of our news articles with the Leicester Mercury. The Leicester Town and Gown 10k will see runners don the charity orange colour and take on a new three loop chip timed 10k course in Victoria Park and through University of Leicester Campus. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still plenty of time to dig out those running shoes and join what will be a great day. Find out more about our new event on our Leicester event page.
